JEWELRY MAKING

Casey, our jewelry teacher has started a jewelry making school in Kamala village. Kamala is a village of 7,000 people who are some of the poorest in our region. Many husbands leave their wives and move onto wife number 2,3,... due to religious beliefs, or they die from HIV/AIDS. Both of these leave the women with the responsibility of making a living for their families. Here you see, 5 of the women at school making jewelry that they will sell in town. Now they even have shops outside of town that place orders for their jewelry. Making jewelry has given them a way to feed their children.
With a donation of $25 they can start their own business. If you would like to help woman learn to make jewelry and help with start up costs CLICK HERE
