While waiting in the Arusha airport Coni met this wonderful shop owner. Her name is Deborah. She was having a hard day and since Coni had arrived 3 hours early to the airport they strucj up a conversation. Long story short, Deborah now knows Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Saviour!!! Thank you Jesus! Just before the plane landed Deborah shared how she needed different items to sell in her shop. So, now the Sewing Center ladies of Kamala Village will be sending Deborah beautiful new bags, aprons, and childrens dresses. A new sister in the Lord. A 3 hour layover that changed many lives. :)

Coni took a recent trip to Arusha with some of the Primary school teachers from Kamala. They visited St. Jude school where 1,500 orphans and street children attend. The school opened only 10 years ago. Lucy, Jeriann, and Coni had a great time visiting classrooms and meeting with Headmasters. Everyone was very helpful in giving us great advice for our new English Medium School in Kamala. Thank you St. Jude School.

Here is a great idea for some play equipment for our school. If you like the idea pictured here or have ideas of your own then you are welcome to come bring a team or just yourself. We always need play equipment for the Kinders and Primary school children.

Over the past 12 weeks some of our teachers from the Kamala Center have been taking a Music Class. They have been learning how to teach music in the classroom using materials found here. Saturday was Graduation and program. It was fun to see the children and teachers playing wonderful music using pots, pans, bottles, and buckets. Great job Lucy, Maneno and Jerianne.

The new property to build our English Medium Primary School is all paid for!!! The property is in the middle of the largest Muslim populated area in Kigoma region. All 6.7 acres are usable. Some parts of the land even have made wells where you can see water only 2 - 3 feet down. This will be the next place for a well. Out front of Casey's home, some tired zebra are hanging out taking a sun bath. Yes they are wild! This is where Jim and Julie will be living soon.

Last night was the traditional Teacher Celebration.

All the students planned music and presented him with a gift.

Many students shared how much they learned from Nate.  He taught Church History and World Religions.

One of the students shared, "...thank you teacher Nate for showing me that I need to think more about what I'm thinking about..."  Many of the students were challenged to THINK and see what God says in His word and through out history.  It was a great time.

One of the favorite times during the celebration is when the students and staff surround their teacher in prayer.  Even though everyone is praying in their own language, it is moving to see the unity from across the world.  We serve the same Jesus and love each other.  

Goat is only eaten for Graduation and Teacher Celebration nights.  Nate and Nathan Godwin, another visitor from the states, both decided they wanted to kill the goat and skin it for dinner.

Dinner was sooo good!  Goat was eaten by all. 

Thank you Nate Milnik for taking a month and coming over to bless the students here at Hope of the Nations Bible College.  Your teaching, laughter, and fun spirit will be missed by all.
