Hope of the Nations Bible College
After hearing that only around 5% of the pastors in our region have had any Bible training whatsoever, God put a desire in our hearts to try to help the churches by equipping the leaders.
Originally, we tried to do this through 3-4 day seminars in the villages and refugee camps.
It quickly became apparent that this was not enough. The students always asked for more time, and we saw that they also needed to be discipled.
The result of this was the start of Hope of the Nations Bible College (HNBC). Located in Kigoma, we offer a variety of Bible and ministry classes (in cooperation with Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, CA) to pastors and anyone interested in studying God’s Word. Students come from as close as Kigoma and as far away as Burundi and Congo. The classes are taught by Harold Knepper (HofN), Dismas Clement (HNBC Graduate), and guest teachers from the states.
We currently have facilities to house 25 boarding students and two class rooms, the largest of which can hold 40 students. In addition, we have just completed construction on a multipurpose building that can hold up to two hundred.
As an extension of the ministry of the college, we have now planted two churches called Hope Chapel. The Kamala Hope Chapel meets Sunday mornings at our Kamala Training Center in Kamala. The Campus Hope Chapel meets Sunday evenings at our Bible College campus in Kigoma. The Word is taught at both of these churches by graduates of HNBC.
